Oil and Acrylic On Board, 30 x 42 cm / 12 x 16.5 inches, 2023 (started in 1987)

I started this in 1987 while still at school and found it in a folder and finished it in September 2023. The dried artichoke was from my grandparents garden and the ‘vase’ is an antique smelting crucible, before gold ingots were invented. The dead flower and out of use crucible, live on, reviving the past through the attachment of memories to tangible objects.
